America’s preacher Bishop T.D. Jakes has partnered with Lifetime to present two movies; Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt) and Envy: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt). They premiere two Saturdays in a row, April 17 and April 24 at 8p.m. ET/7p.m. CT respectively. The films are based on two books by Victoria Christopher Murray from the Seven Deadly Sins anthology.
Keri Hilson (Don’t Waste Your Pretty, Love By The Tenth Date) stars in Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt) along with Tobias Truvillion (One Life to Live), and Durrell ‘Tank’ Babbs(The New Edition Story). Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt) is a morality tale, that explores the power of lust and what lust can do to a person’s life and soul.
Tiffanie Cooper (Keri Hilson) is about to get married to the man of her dreams, Damon King (Tobias Truvillion) when his old friend Trey Taylor (Durrell ‘Tank” Babbs) shows up fresh out of prison and steps in to serve as the best man. Suddenly Tiffanie’s world is turned upside down fueled by passion and lust – going against her morals.
Lust: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt) also stars Ms. Juicy, LeToya Luckett, and Clifton Powell. Producers of the film are T.D. Jakes Enterprises and Big Dreams Entertainment. Directed by Star Victoria, it is scripted by Sonay Hoffman.
Envy: A Deadly Sins Saga (wt) stars Serayah (Empire), Rose Rollins (The L Word), and Kandi Burruss (Real Housewives of Atlanta). This story follows the life of PR firm owner Gabrielle Flores (Rosa Rollins). This wife, mother, and fabulous woman who seemingly has it all together. She’s got the beautiful home, husband, daughter and a thriving business. All of a sudden her world gets torn apart when her dad announces out of the blue that she has a half-sister, Keisha (Serayah). Keisha shows up and instead of getting to know and love her newly discovered half-sister, she plots to take everything from Gabrielle. It’s a classic tale of envy and what it can do to someone who is consumed by it.
