Lin. Woods is a pioneering force in family entertainment media, an author, podcaster, and communications strategist with expertise spanning TV, print, and digital platforms. Beginning her career at KATZ-AM/FM (iHeart Radio) in St. Louis, she became a top-rated on-air personality before making an impact at WESL-AM/24 Hour Gospel Radio and KSDK-TV5/NBC.
She served as the Gospel Editor of the influential music industry trade publication Urban Network for two decades, where she created, launched, and served as Editor-in-Chief of Urban Inspired, its groundbreaking inspirational counterpart in the 2000s. She also produced digital content for both publications and played a key role as an event producer for their annual music entertainment conference.
Her industry experience includes roles in Los Angeles as Regional Marketing Coordinator for Ice Capades and Harlem Globetrotters, casting associate at Warner Bros. Television, and Artist Relations at Warner Bros. Records, working with legends like Prince, The Winans, and Take 6.
As the founder of Lin. Woods Inspired Media, LLC, she produces engaging faith-based content across multiple platforms. She hosts the Lin. Woods Gospel Entertainment Podcast (on Spotify and Apple Podcasts), and has produced gospel TV specials and music projects. Her upcoming documentary, She Sings: The History of African American Women in Gospel, showcases her commitment to preserving cultural history.
Woods is also the author of the Kenny Can children’s book series, which promotes diversity, empathy, and empowerment. Her titles include Kenny Can: Don’t Judge Me and See Me, Not My Color: Another Kenny Can Life Lesson Story.
In her quest to give back, Lin. Woods founded Inspired Lives Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity that presents film and podcast camps for youth in St. Louis, MO, equipping the next generation with media and storytelling skills.
With a Magna Cum Laude degree from Fisk University and a Valedictorian Master’s from Full Sail University, Woods continues to inspire and empower through faith-driven storytelling.
